Short Film

Ali Engal

I was the Editor for a short film as part of the annual 48 Hour Film Project, a contest in which production teams compete to make a 7-10 minute film in less than 48 hours. We received our genre on Friday evening (Silent Drama). That night we wrote the story, chose a location, planned the scenes and selected our equipment (cameras, lenses, wardrobe and lights). The film crew shot scenes all day Saturday and Sunday. I was on a steady drip of footage, editing non-stop all weekend long the moment every scene was completed. By Sunday evening, our Director Ben Singer, who is also a musician, scored the film and we uploaded just before 7:00 PM Sunday evening.
